Manny Valdivia is a film and television writer. A native Angeleno, Manny was born and raised in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. He graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a B.A. in English and continued his education at the UCLA Writing Program. He has worked in several facets of the film and TV industry, working on productions like “In Treatment,” “Glee,” “The Good Wife,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” among others. He has also worked in developing many projects currently in production or already released. Often in charge of finding literary material for producers and developing that material for the screen. Most recently, his pilot was a finalist in the ATX Television Festival “The Pitch” competition and he was selected to interview for the CBS Writers Mentorship Program. When he’s not working on his latest writing project, he works as a subtitle and translation editor, getting to enjoy hours of television content (and somehow getting paid for it), competing in cooking competitions, and hosting outdoor movie nights.
